Error messages frame.scss.liquid

Hello! I keep getting this message on Shopify while using the Kriya theme:

“It looks like there is an error in your theme.
Try assets/frame.scss.liquid in the template editor to fix the error below:

Issue detected: stylesheet took too long to compile. Update theme code to decrease compilation time. Contact your theme’s support team to fix this error.”

I have tried the following:
-Redownloaded the zip and reuploaded the theme (with the new download, incase there was a new update)
-deleted the frame.scss.liquid file, re-uploaded the frame.scss.liquid file from the new zip file (though the code in both were identical..)

It worked for a couple hours until I got the same error message again.

I don’t know what else to try. We would like to get our site up live ASAP, but I’m unable to work on it until this error is fixed.

Does the theme need to be split up into multiple files so it doesn’t take so long to render?
